We have stunning scenery, and want to sample the Cretan way of life in a thriving village.   Villa Irissa is a stone villa in its own gardens, on the edge of Vamos village.
Apokoronas is the greenest region of Western Crete, and at its centre is the village of Vamos, an old, traditional working village, with a very active "preservation society". Only 5 minutes easy walk from Villa Irissa, there are 2 excellent  tavernas, several kafenions, the "Arts Cafe", bank, health centre, bakery and lots of other shops. Beaches are just a short drive away, at Kalives, Almerida, Kefalas and Georgiopolou.
